Before you choose

Isn't four too young to talk about money?
A four-year-old already knows the ice cream truck doesn't hand out ice cream for free. Books 1 and 2 are written for ages 4 to 6; the other three wait on the shelf until they're ready.
Will it make my child obsessed with money?
Usually the opposite. A child who has earned four dollars, and knows what they cost in effort, gets harder to impress with a plastic toy. Money is the vehicle; the subjects are patience, effort, judgment and dealing with people.
Are there audiobooks?
Yes: the same five stories, read aloud, for $20 more with the set. Good for the car and for the hundredth reread.
